Mezzo-soprano Jae-Eun Paik has been acclaimed for her “deeply appealing voice” (Washington Post) “well produced dark sonority, vocal intensity and dramatic rightness”(The Chautauqua Daily) , “highly expressive, intense and emotionally committed performence” (Infodad’s Independent Reviews).
Recently, Ms. Paik appeared as title role in opera ‘Carmen’ with Korean National opera, Poland National Opera and Sungnam City Opera. She was also heard as main roles in various operas such as Cosi fan Tutte, The Consul, Little Women, Suo Angelica ,Rigoletto, Madama Butterfly, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Semele, Otello, Le Nozze di Figaro, La Cenerentola, Falstaff ,il barbiere di siviglia.
Ms. Paik was on the concert stages with New England Chamber Orchestra, Ridgefild Orchestra, North Arkansas Orchestra, Elim Choral Society, Greenwich Choral Society, KBS Orchestra , SNU Orchestra, Pohang City Orchestra, Daegu City Orchestra where she performed Messiah (Handel) Missa in Tempore Belli (Haydn), Magnificat (Raminsh), Magnificat (Bach), Requiem(Mozart), Mass in C Major (Mozart) Vesperae solennes de confessore (Mozart), Mass in b Minor (Bach), El Amor Brujo (Falla), She also sang under the baton of conductor Myung-Hun Chung a number of times when they performed ‘Mahler’s symphony No.8’ “Beethoven’s symphony No.9’.
She graduated Seoul National University (B.M) and earned her Master’s degree and Professional Diploma at Mannes College of Music In New York City.
